Lise Haller Baggesen is an interdisciplinary and international artist. Born in Denmark (Aarhus) in 1969, she grew up in Amsterdam and now lives in Chicago.
Her artistic practice is hybrid and includes writing, installation and performance work with clothing and textiles.
Baggesen is an alumna of Billedskolen, Copenhagen (1989-91), AKI in Enchede (BFA PTDW 1992-95), Rijksakademie Amsterdam (1996-1997), SAIC (MAVCS 2011-13), Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (2017).

She has received the Prins Bernhard Cultural Prize (2000), the Royal Dutch Prize for Modern Painting (2002) and was nominated in 2015 for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Emerging Artist Grant.

She exhibits internationally, notably at the Poetry Foundation, Chicago Cultural Center, Threewalls, 6018 North, DPAM, MCA and AIC, Chicago (IL), EFA and A.I.R. Gallery (NY), The Suburban, (WI), The Contemporary Austin (TX), Southern Exposure (CA), Overgaden (DK), Roskilde Festival (DK), Malmö Konstmuseum (SE), Württembergischem Kunstverein (D), MoMu Antwerp (B), Théâtre de la Ville de Paris (F), Le Confort Moderne, Poitiers (F) and Villa Arson, Nice (F).
