Lynge-Jorlén holds a PhD in Fashion Studies from University of the Arts London, and she has been a lecturer and research fellow of Fashion Studies at University of Arts London, Parsons Paris and Lund University and has published books, including Niche Fashion Magazines (Bloomsbury, 2017) and Fashion Styling: History, Meaning and Practice (Bloomsbury 2020) and research articles in the journals Fashion Theory and Fashion Practice. She was previously editor of Vestoj, member of the editorial board of International Journal of Fashion Studies and fashion critic for the Danish broadsheet Weekendavisen. Lynge-Jorlén has curated several exhibitions on contemporary, experimental fashion across the Nordics, including recent Beautiful Repair (2023) at Copenhagen Contemporary, Nordic Fashion Now: Knitwear & Print (2023) at the Röhsska Museum of Craft and Design and the forthcoming Beyond Bodies (2024) at the National Museum in Oslo. She is the director of ALPHA, a Nordic organisation that supports, champions and showcases emerging fashion designers from the Nordics. ALPHA works with international fashion brands and leading Nordic museums. Lynge-Jorlén is a widely recognised fashion talent consultant and a board member across fashion institutions.
