"After having thoroughly conquered the Danish jazz scene with their first five releases, the trio Little North is now in the midst of an international breakthrough." ♥♥♥♥♥ Politiken (DK)
"A cinematic sound that draws its power from modern minimalism, Nordic tradition and New York adventurousness. Not a ‘little’ surprise, but a pretty big one!" Jazz thing (DE)
With their captivating cinematic sound and warm, intense presence, Little North make friends with the audience from the very first note.
In a melting pot of modern minimalism and Nordic jazz tradition and with an intensity that draws threads to the jazz scene of New York.
The trio interacts effortlessly between improvisation and composition. Their compositions are made up of simple melodies and complex arrangements.
Following their recent album ‘While You Wait’, with Norwegian trumpeter Oscar Andreas Haug, Little North are now returning to their original essence as a trio.
The trio will be presenting their latest album as well as a revisited version of their early material.
The trio consists of Lasse Jacobsen on drums, Martin Brunbjerg Rasmussen on bass and Benjamin Nørholm Jacobsen on the piano.
Since 2020, the trio has been renowned for its unique sound and has released five critically acclaimed albums.
