Anna Katrin Ø. Egilstrøð

Anna Katrin Øssursdóttir Egilstrøð (1981) is a Faroese composer and performer. She mixes field recordings, electronic sounds, video and classical instruments. Øssursdóttir has composed works for numerous ensembles, performed with the critically acclaimed ensemble SCENATET herself as well as with the band Valravn as singer. The identity of the piece is closely linked to the supreme and distinguished location of the Faroe Islands as well as of the Islands’ interwoven exchange with nature.
